New Jersey indie-rockers Real Estate are coming through Charlottesville next month, and your pals at RVA Mag have the hookup!

New Jersey indie-rockers Real Estate are coming through Charlottesville next month, and your pals at RVA Mag have the hookup! These guys have built up quite a following over the last few years, but they’re taking things to the next level with their brand new album, Atlas. First single “Crime” is a gorgeous slice of sunny pop, with some rather pensive lyrics coloring the mood. And what’s amazing is that the song’s video also acts as a tutorial showing you how to play both the lead and rhythm guitar parts. Check that out here:

Real Estate will be joined on this bill by Pure X, the bizarre Texas band whose tortured take on cabaret goth, showcased on their 2013 album Crawling Up The Stairs, has now been transformed into some off-kilter version of 80s glitter-pop. This can be seen on “Starlight,” an advance track from their forthcoming third LP, Angel, which you can check out below:

These two unique indie bands will surely make a great pairing, so don’t miss out!
