The Vans Warped Tour’s 2013 edition is known as the Best Day Ever, and if you love punk, emo, hardcore, metal, skateboarding, and other extreme sports and music under a sizzling hot sun, then this is the perfect opportunity for you to relive your adolescence (or, alternately, live it for the first time) on the grounds of Merriweather Post Pavilion.

Here’s an exciting opportunity for teenagers of all ages–as well as for those of you who might not be a teenager now, but were at one time. This year’s Warped Tour lineup features something like 150 bands, many of which are totally awesome–and I’m not just using that phrase because the tour is sponsored by a skate gear company, either! From emo legends The Used and Motion City Soundtrack to metalcore champs Chiodos and August Burns Red to pop punk bands like The Wonder Years and Story of the Year, plus even some rad but totally random groups like Reel Big Fish and 3OH!3, the Warped Tour has everything to keep you energetic and entertained throughout a day that starts when doors open at 11 AM and keeps going until well past sundown that evening. The Vans Warped Tour comes through the area with an all-day extravaganza taking place at Merriweather Post Pavilion, just outside of Washington DC, on Wednesday, July 10–so take the day off work now! And get ready for what every 16 year old you know will agree is gonna be the Best Day Ever!
