It’s been 20 years since Michael Jordan teamed up Bugs Bunny to defeat some intergalactic bad guys.

It’s been 20 years since Michael Jordan teamed up Bugs Bunny to defeat some intergalactic bad guys. But you can relive the magic with a special one-night-only screening of the film at a few theater’s around the RVA area.

For those who don’t remember the details, Space Jam follows the story of some angry aliens who seek to kidnap classic Looney Toons characters to serve as entertainment on their home planet. Instead of fists, the two sides decide to settle the situation by playing basketball. The aliens, known as the Nerdlucks, use a magic basketball to steal the talents of other famous, early 90s basketballs stars including Charles Barkley, Shawn Bradley, Patrick Ewing, Larry Johnson and Muggsy Bogues and give them to themselves. The Nerdlucks become mighty ball players leaving Bugs and friends to panic at the possibilities.

Luckily, Michael Jordan was in retirement and, out of the spotlight, left with his amazing skills to help out our friends in dire need. Bugs and co. recruit him to their team and the fate of the very universe is decided on the court.

Man, how much cocaine did it take to come up with this idea. Check out the member-berry fueled trailer below:

So the folks at Fathom Entertainment have secure the rights to re-broadcast the flick in theaters nationwide and there are three chances to catch it here around RVA on Sunday, 11/13:

Westchester Common 16, Buy Midlothian
Commonwealth Stadium 20, Buy Midlothian
BTC Movieland at Blvd Sq 17, Buy Richmond
