One of the most anticipated new Soul/Funk releases this year is the debut album by Milwaukee based Kings Go Forth, which will hit the stores on April 20th. KGF created quite a buzz in the Soul world with their powerful 2008 45 release “One Day” which was completely sold out before it was even released and soon fetched between $100 and $200 on Ebay – unheard of for a new single. Two more intense Soul singles followed. Last year, KGF signed with Luaka Bop Records, and later this month, the group’s first album effort “The Outsiders are Back” will see the light of day, complete with album cover artwork by Washington D.C. legend Mingering Mike. On tonight’s Midnight Soulstice, we’ll be happy to give you the chance of a first listen to this absolutely fantastic record. We’ll play almost the entire album for you, because it’s that good! And band leader and bassist Andy Noble will join us live on the show to talk about his group. Don’t miss this Also on this show: A selection of tracks from “I learned the hard way”, the new album by Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings. Get a first listen on Midnight Soulstice! Plus you’ll get to hear many other new Funk and Soul releases on this dynamite show!
