Welcome to RVA: Carytown

by | Jan 28, 2010 | COMMUNITY

This month’s Welcome to RVA takes us to Carytown, first to the historic Byrd Theater. If you’ve never heard their Wurlitzer organ play, you’re missing out.

The next stop is Richmond’s best grocery, Ellwood Thompson’s. Specializing in local and organic products, they carry just about everything you’d expect a grocery store to have. Patrons receive a discount for using ecologically friendly transportation (bicycles, hybrids) to visit their store, and their hot food bar is one of the best deals and meals in town.
