Who Let the Cats Out? Richmond Ranked Top 10 Best Cities for Cat Lovers

by | Aug 4, 2023 | COMMUNITY

So guess what? We just got word that Richmond, VA has been ranked #6 out of the 200 biggest U.S. cities for being super cat-friendly. That’s right, we’re one of the top picks for people who can’t get enough of our furry, biscuit-making friends. These results were based on several factors, including access to animal shelters, vets, cat-friendly housing, and affordability among 15 indicators of a city’s feline-friendliness.

When we get stuff like this, it gets us thinking — why not use this as a chance to show off some adorable, adoptable kitties? With International Cat Day on August 8th just around the corner and 804 Day happening today, it seems like good time to do it.

If you’ve got space in your place, consider swinging by the RAL, RACC or Richmond SPCA to meet some truly amazing cats and kittens (heck, pick up a dog or a puppy if that’s your jam) who are waiting for their forever homes.

You never know, you might just meet your new best bud.
