Best Of VA Missed Connections August 26 – September 1

by | Sep 1, 2020 | WTF?!

If there’s any place where dreams come true, it’s probably not the Missed Connections, where we can all assume (or prove from bitter experience) that 90 percent of posts never get any answer at all. That said, it’s still very entertaining to read people’s dreams, especially when they are literal descriptions of slumbering visions about the strangest restaurant visit ever.

Of course, in real life, we’re mostly encountering and getting crushes on each other in the great outdoors, since being inside with a lot of other people is pretty severely curtailed these days. We’re seeing a lot of hiking and biking trails represented in the MCs, as well as plenty of people out shopping for essentials before retreating home to quarantine once again. This way of life is getting pretty old, huh? If you want to find a way to make it better, you better vote in November (and not for the guy who’s in there, either. Yeah, I said it).

One thing we probably should all not be doing is soliciting random strangers to come over and complain with us about what a bummer it all is. That’s a great way to get deathly ill, and no one wants that.

Stay safe, Virginia.

baker boy (richmond)

oh, oh, oh.
you were a main character in my dream last night.
i came to a fancy restaurant for dinner with a family member and noticed you were working there. when i asked if i could see you, the person at the counter said that usually isn’t allowed but went back to look anyways. they brought out the wrong person thinking i said another name which felt disappointing. just before i walked away you saw me through the doorway of the kitchen with a soft smile and a gentle wink, too busy to exchange any words. shortly after getting back to my table our first course came out, we hadn’t even ordered. Upon the second one arriving I asked if this was usual and the server said we were being taken care of by you tonight.
my thoughts kept returning to that wink, so quick, paired with your deep dimples and glowing freckles from sweat due to working.
the plating was beautiful.

Larus Park (Southside)

You were walking your dog in the park today and stopped to let me pass by on my bike. I spent the rest of my ride admiring and looking for you. I know this is a long shot, but here’s hoping we can cross paths again!

Capital Trail

You: Pink shorts, black socks
Me: White Jersey

I dropped you on the climb out and wasn’t sure how far back you were. Did not anticipate adding trail miles today so didn’t have enough fuel or water to keep going at our pace.

Ride sometime?

Adult book store field trip? (23060)

Costco guy with pentagram tattoo (Charlottesville)

Dear Costco guy with a pentagram tattoo —
You were wearing a Jack Skeleton mask
I was with my mom wearing a Larry David mask
You asked if I tried the pesto foccacia bread
The answer was no but I’d like to try some of your buns šŸ˜‰
JK I just think you’re hot
Email me ?

Emily at the auction (Richmond)

Iā€™m sorry for staring but those brown eyes were mesmerizing. Youā€™ll never see this but Iā€™d love to take you out.

Walmart (Ashland)

We saw each other in the paper towel and toilet tissue aisle. I asked if you needed something from the top self and you replied no. When I was leaving and walking by you pulled your masked down and said…… if you know what you said tell me so I know itā€™s you….should have said more as you are very attractive and hope we can see each other once again! Know itā€™s a long shot but…….

Tired of this coronacrap (Virginia Beach)

Just gonna put it out there. I’m no brad pitt, just a middle aged white dude sick and tired of all this coronacrap seeking a female sick and tired of this coronacrap too. Let’s talk, maybe we can make one another’s night go just a little bit better.

Staples Mill Kroger (Henrico)

Boy-oh-boy, I was shopping in Kroger this afternoon and I saw several really hot guy I hope are gay, some were shopping and some were working there. I almost forgot why I was there. If a guy in the area is looking for another guy, especially if you were at Kroger today, I am 53 years old, 5′-10″, and a hundred and fifty pounds, short brown hair and hazel eyes.

Aloha Jesus (Fredericksburg)

I was a patient waiting in the ER at Mary Washington, you were an employee in blue scrubs. They looked a little baggy on you, but I could tell that you were hiding something special underneath. I wanted to approached you, but by the time I worked up the courage you were leaving. By some grace of God, you walked back in – tight white shirt, Hawaiian styled shorts, and your Jesus hair up in a messy bun. MY GOD. If you see this, please know that I am very interested in getting to know the type of man you really are šŸ˜‰
