“Why do you think they gave this power to kids…?” asks James Vanderbeek (Dawson’s Creek) to Katie Sackoff (Battlestar Galactica) as she’s strapped to a chair – the two play Power Rangers in a terrifying dystopian future where most of the squad has been killed by a mysterious stranger.

This new dark, brutal interpretation of the 90’s classic Saturday Morning TV show comes from the mind of Joseph Kahn, who’s mainly known for a mess of music videos including Janet Jackson, Lady Gaga, DMX, and many many others.

Kahn had some big screen entries before, but this new venture, a reimagining of something many of us hold dear, is by far the most intriguing.
