A long-time source for local and independent hip-hop information just launched a new podcast.

Hosted by local hip hop aficionado, Cheats, the founder of the Cheats Movement Blog, the show is set to come out every other week and seeks to become “the premier independent hip hop podcast.”

The show features other local hip hop bloggers and friends of Cheats—Hip Hop Henry, the cofounder of The Listening Party, Jahn Parker, music blogger for Earmilk, Roger Tyler, hip hop guy for RVA Magazine, and Forest Lodge, another contributor to the Cheats Movement—all hanging out, discussing “the current state of hip-hop,” premiering new hip hop records, and interviewing big-name local artists.

In the first episode, the crew discuss Nickelus F’s newest release “Triflin,’”and get an in-studio visit from Richmond natives Joey Gallo, Fly Anakin, and Koncept Jack$on.

The podcast is part of the larger blog project’s goal “to highlight the best of humanity through art, culture, and community.”
