The much-loved Sub Rosa Bakery in Richmond’s Church Hill neighborhood is set to reopen after a fire put them out of business early last year.

Known for their sweets and home-made organic baked goods, Sub Rosa was a shining star in the up-and-coming Church Hill food scene.

Sub Rosa’s hard times started in April of last year when a fire put their building out of commission. A number of other local restaurants helped organize fundraisers, and an Indigogo campaign that raised over $16K helped in the rebuilding efforts.

We’re still trying to reach out to the owners of Sub Rosa for a longer convo and some additional details, but until then we’ll just have to wait till Saturday, Jan. 18 at 620 N. 25th St., to get some of them sweet sweet homemade baked goods.
