The city has decided to spend $250,000 on a new sign for Carytown.

Whether or not this is a good idea – the comment thread on the TD story paints a pretty negative picture – we’d love to see how Richmond’s own creatives and designers would spend $250,000 on a new sign for Richmond’s favorite shopping district.

Those which stand out (make us laugh, get the most public support, or are genuinely brilliant) could win a $100 gift card from Mellow Mushroom in Carytown.
