This Saturday, July 16th, the Richmond Kickers welcome back the English Premier League to host Swansea City at City Stadium, in what is sure to be one of the most exciting games of the season.

The Kickers, who are currently seventh in the third tier of the American pyramid, have played Crystal Palace and West Bromwich in the past two years respectively, and are looking forward to the EPL’s return.

Swansea City have an inspired history and tradition with a truly remarkable story over the last decade, establishing themselves as one of the top teams in the English Premier League,” said Leigh Cowlishaw, Richmond Kickers Head Coach, in a post on the Swansea team’s website. “The atmosphere at City Stadium is guaranteed to be electric and we look forward to having this high-profile exhibition highlight a very exciting season.”

Swansea City’s manager, Francesco Guidolin, is also enthusiastic about the upcoming match. He said his team was looking forward to the “friendly” event and hoped the Kickers would give his team “the test we need as we approach the beginning of the new campaign.”

“It’s an exciting tour for us and I believe we will gain a lot from it.”

The Kickers are no strangers to the Premier League. They were defeated by Crystal Palace 3-0 in 2014, and by West Brom 2-1 in 2015. Even though there is nothing at stake, a win would certainly delight RVA and the Red Army.

Tickets are already on sale and are available through www.richmondkickers.com. The VIP club seats are sold out, while general admission tickets are available for $30, while Section O Season Ticket Holders pay $25, so hurry and pick up your tickets before Saturday.

This is definitely a game fans will surely not want to miss.
