Fourth of July festivities this weekend

Fireworks, eating twice your weight in hot dogs and burgers, and getting hammered is what the Fourth of July is all about right? Of course.

Fireworks, eating twice your weight in hot dogs and burgers, and getting hammered is what the Fourth of July is all about right? Of course. Well wouldn’t it be nice if you had a rundown of all the festivities and events going on in the city so you could celebrate like a true American on Independence Day?

Well lucky for you our hardworking staff here at RVA have complied a list of all the awesome happens around Richmond this Saturday so you can take your pick! Check it out:

Hardywood Park Craft Brewery is celebrating with five RVA bands including The White Laces,The Mikrowaves, My Daring Fury, Avers, and Manatree. The brewery will release FLOAT BEER, an IPA dry-hopped brew with Citra and Centennial,and Bold Rock Hard Cider wil be on draft as well for the occasion. The Dog Wagon, Pizza Tonight and many other food trucks will be there. Beer tickets are $6. Its also a perfect place to watch the Fireworks at The Diamond.

The Answer Brewpub on West Broad Street is celebrating Independence Day with a special menu prepared by guet chef Thuy Bui and will release a Bay Day Hoppy Blonde Ale. 12-8pm.

LIckinghole Creek Craft Brewery in Goochland will party it up with their first pig roast for the 4th. The brewery is hosting along with Belle and James, a restaurant and cocktail bar and East Main Street. They will tap a keg of Enlightened Despot. Tickets are $15, does not include beer. They will also have cornhole and live music and you catch fireworks at the Goochland Sports Complex. 12-6 pm.

Of course, Legends is always an awesome place to view the fireworks from their deck. They will have live music, balloon sculptures, and of course, beer. Their event is this Friday.

Triple Crossing will also celebrate July 4th on Friday the 3rd starting at noon with food and live music from The Go Nowheres RVA.

A non-brewery way to celebrate, but its still cool. Friday and Saturday you can get a guided kayak tour on the James River to watch the fireworks. RVA Paddle Sports will paddle you out to a spot on the water to watch the fireworks. $70-$89, $120-$159 for two.

Isley Brewing Company on Summit Avenue is celebrating with its Second Annual Red, White and Brew Party on Saturday. The brewery will have a DJ, dance floor, corn hole, beer pong, and a dunk tank. 12-10 pm.

Blue Bee Cider on West 6th Street is hosting a two-day celebration. On the 3rd, the cidery will be downtown watching the riverfront fireworks show from 7 to 10 pm. On July 4th, they will have a Firecracker release party, with a sweet Gold Rush cider that’s fortified with ginger-infused eau de vie. Cary Street Ramblers will be playing the tunes. Party lasts from 12-7 pm.

Center of the Universe in Ashland will celebrate Indendence Day with a Wort Share Session IPA release along with live music and food trucks.

Midnight Brewery in Rockville will celebrate Friday and Saturday with “Wheat Weekend.” Special pins will be available both nights.

Of course, watching the fireworks at The Diamond after the Flying Squirrels game is always a great way to go. Hot dogs,beer, baseball, fireworks, ‘MURICA.
