Help Mekong Defend Its Title As The Greatest Beer Bar In America

by | Aug 23, 2013 | POLITICS

We’ve all had a ton of great times at Mekong–from the excellent RVA Appreciation Nights every Monday to their Hallobeer events during Halloweek and the epic battle royales that have taken place during the annual Pho King competition, it’s been proven time and time again that Mekong’s the best beer bar in town. When they won Craftbeer.com’s Greatest American Beer Bar competition in 2012, it seemed only natural.

And it’s not like anything has changed since then–owner An Bui continues to stock his bar with the best selection of craft beers anywhere around and make everyone who walks through the door feel right at home. And that’s not to mention the great Vietnamese food on Mekong’s excellent menu.

But chances are, if you like beer, Vietnamese food, and good times, I’m not telling you anything you don’t already know–you’re probably already part of the Mekong family. So I think we can all come together and agree that voting for Mekong as the Greatest Beer Bar In America for the second year in a row is the right thing to do.

CLICK HERE TO VOTE FOR MEKONG IN CRAFTBEER.COM’S GREAT AMERICAN BEER BARS COMPETITION!

Voting goes by region at the moment–Mekong is nominated in the Southern region, so cast your vote for them in that particular voting box, and be sure to tell all your friends as well! Then scroll down to see some reminders of all the great times we’ve had at Mekong over the years.

And finally, remember this craziness?

It didn’t quite go down the way the Pho King expected, but that’s OK, getting there is half the fun! And that video is still hilarious.

And go see them anytime from 11 AM til midnight (10 PM on Sundays) at 6004 W. Broad St, for great Vietnamese cuisine, great friends, and of course, great beer!
