Kamala Harris and Tim Walz | The New Democratic Team for 2024

by | Aug 6, 2024 | NEWS, POLITICS

Today, Vice President Kamala Harris made headlines by selecting Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate for the upcoming presidential election.

This decision sparked a wave of support and enthusiasm from political figures and commentators alike, who have lauded Walz’s impressive record on voting rights and his genuine connection with working families.

It’s clear that Harris’s choice of Walz is a shrewd move to strengthen the Democratic ticket across the critical Midwestern states and appeal to a broad spectrum of voters.

If Harris and Walz clinch the victory, it would mean Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan stepping into the role of Minnesota’s governor, making history as both the first female governor of the state and the first Native American woman to serve as governor in the nation.
