We’ve been reporting on legislator’s attempts to turn back the clock on things like trans vaginal ultrasounds and waiting periods, but the response has been incredibly disappointing.
Maybe the folks at Lady Parts Justice, a group aiming to use humor to spread the message about the damage these laws have done around the country, will get ya’lls attention with a new video they’ve released as part of a series leading up Whole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt, a Supreme Court case which the group called “the biggest abortion case in the past 20 years.”
“This Supreme Court decision will greatly affect women’s access to abortion,” wrote the group in a press release sent along with the video blow. “Before the court is Texas’s HB2, a TRAP law. If the Supreme Court upholds HB2, Texas, which once had over 40 clinics, will only have six clinics remaining to serve a population of 5.4 million women of reproductive age. 49 states have compromised abortion access since 1973 when abortion became a legal, constitutional right.”
