Local servers and restaurants are afraid of shitty tips from international UCI travelers

The UCI bike race hopes to bring tons of people and business to Richmond, but international customs are making some servers worried.


The UCI bike race hopes to bring tons of people and business to Richmond, but international customs are making some servers worried.

CBS 6 spoke to some international spectators in town for the race and one local business to find out that indeed Europeans don’t tip and what some folks are doing to combat the issue.

They said The Rogue Gentleman in Jackson Ward is even adding a 20% gratuity for the duration of the race to combat the issue. (Something I personally think should be in all restaurants at all times to begin with)

Are you a local server worried about not getting tipped? Or are we being xenophobic ass holes with this idea?
