It’s that time of year again folks – America’s “Friendliest” marathon is back in RVA and it’s here to ruin your brunch plans.

It’s that time of year again folks – America’s “Friendliest” marathon is back in RVA and it’s here to ruin your brunch plans.

For 37 years the Richmond Marathon has choked the city’s streets like so many bike races, but this time we aren’t all told to leave town.

The best advice we can give about travel if you live in the Fan this Saturday is don’t – stay local, make some breakfast in bed or head to one of the local spots and play “how many bloody marys can I drink?”

All roads around the city should be open 4 PM, with most of the closures wrapping up around 2 – so it’s not that bad.
