The RVA Vintage Market returns this Saturday, October 10th, with an offering of handmade goods, vintage finds, and timeless nostalgia that no “Junkie” or non-”Junkie” should pass up.

Aaand we’re talking about the old-re-painted-treasure-chest-filled-with-metal-toys-and-silk-dresses type of “Junkie”…

Thriving off the creativity of both vendors and buyers, RVA Antiques offers this unique shopping experience to allow customers of all eras to enjoy the best of what vintage exploration has to offer this season in an outdoor setting that will bring retro delight to your weekend afternoon.

Wow! Only 4 more days until the #RVAvintagemarket! Crazy! #vintagemarket #vintageandhandmade #countdown #rva

As a local business with a well driven incentive, RVA Antiques strives to establish and expand the timeless creativity that Richmond has to offer by allowing vendors and craft makers from the world of vintage collecting and repurposing to present and sell their eccentric creations and rare finds.

The support from the “Junking” community in Richmond and surrounding areas has allowed the RVA Vintage Market to expand and for their organizers at RVA Antiques to flourish from the support.

“Due to the success of our last event, which was held on June 6th, we are dedicated to making our fall market bigger and better than ever,” said event organizer Libbie Hiner. “Handmade baby gifts, eco-friendly beauty products, vintage luggage, organic bath soaps, locally crafted jewelry, and retro clothing will all line the aisles, as well as repurposed goods and trash to treasure trinkets.”

With this one-day only event, attendees will be able to get their hands on mentioned above products, salvaged and repurposed goods, handmade items, and custom painted furniture from a total of 45 vendors in the old Safeway lot on the corner of Glenside and Staples Mill Rd.

With the anticipation of the event from the flux of participants this second time around, there’s no doubt that something big is happening in the vintage and “Junking” world here in RVA. Better late than never.

Let’s band together old and new once more and create yet another tradition here in RVA.

“RVA Antiques has grown tremendously as a business within the last year and a half,” Hiner said. “Our Vintage Market is a way to say thank you to our exceptional vendors and our amazing customers who have supported us and our vision for a more creative community.”

RVA Antiques will also be holding a hard to pass up raffle to customers who attend both the RVA Vintage Market and the eponymous shop on Saturday. Prizes will range from a free paint class to a $300 gift certificate valid at any and all of the vendor’s booths in the RVA Antiques shop.

This family and pet friendly event will also be serving up yummy and fresh eats offered by our buddies Goatocado and Ginter Parked as well.
