Rva jazz/R&B artist Sam Reed recently released a 10 minute video in tribute to Black History Month that features DJ Harrison and Kelli Strawbridge.

It is soulful, empowering and her powerhouse vocals will leave you in awe as she smoothly and flawlessly covers Nina Simone’s “Mississippi Goddam” and Sam Cooke’s classic, “Change Gonna Come.”

The former front woman for the Photosynthesizers even quoted Nina Simone, a jazz singer andd former civil rights activist, stating “It is the artist’s responsibility to reflect the times.”
