Amy Black, owner of Trademark Tattoo in Carytown and winner of Style Weekly’s 2011 Reader’s Poll Award for Best Tattoo Artist In Richmond, has founded the Pink Ink Fund. This fund helps provide financial assistance to breast cancer survivors hoping to restore self-esteem by having reconstructive tattooed nipple re-pigmentation. Now Pink Ink Fund is teaming up with Lamb Of God members Randy Blythe, Chris Adler, and Willie Adler, along with Mekong Vietnamese Restaurant, to help raise money for breast cancer survivors who need financial assistance in receiving reconstructive nipple tattooing.

There’ll be all kinds of opportunities to donate to the Pink Ink Fund. Lamb Of God will lead a Rare Beer Auction with some truly amazing selections available (see the facebook event page for a complete listing). There’ll also be some excellent Lamb Of God swag getting raffled off, plus music by the DJ Williams Projekt, as well as plenty of great beer and excellent Vietnamese food! It’s all happening this Thursday at Mekong!

Voters recently awarded Amy Black as the 2011 Winner of the Best Tattoo Artist and Best Tattoo Parlor in Richmond. Trademark Tattoo’s design genius spent much of 2009 and 2010 providing private, professional custom work for customers that travel across the globe for sitting time with her. In June 2011, Amy set out on a successful mission to lend her talents to those in need. Joining the professional surgical team at Bon Secours Hospitals, Amy is providing realistic areola and nipple restoration tattooing for breast reconstruction.

“Giving these women a renewed sense of self and wholeness is tremendously rewarding. I’ve found creative success in my business, and this endeavor allows for spiritual success for me and the brave women I am fortunate enough to come to know,” Amy states. “The art of tattooing has come a long way over the last century and I’m excited to be a part of this new path.”

Amy is currently based at Richmond, Virginia’s famous Trademark Tattoo, founded in 1990 and was recently honored with Style Weekly’s Yearly Readers Poll Honor of Richmond’s #1 Tattoo Parlor.
