Virginia ABC just came out with a new feature that could make your life just a little bit easier all through the touch of your mobile device.

While Virginia ABC (Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control) has had the option for customers to order at the store, pay, and then come back to pick it up once it has been shipped in, a new, redesigned and recently launched website allows for online ordering capability to save you of a trip to and from the store just to order your product.

Not only can you order 228 different products online, you can also request special order items that aren’t in any stores nearby. About half of the 228 products are speciality products but the rest are products that can not be found in any one of Virginia ABC’s 351 stores.

In addition, the new website design also has an amazing feature to allow customers to check real-time product shelf availability for all products at their particular local store from the comfort of their own homes or mobile devices.

The product listing includes some of the priciest items (mostly consisting of tequila and scotch products.) Plenty of the options are considered rare because they have a low quantity amount in the online ordering system like the Chivas Regal 25-year-old scotch – retailing at $300 a bottle – or the Remy Martin Louis XIII, which retails for $2,940!

With products retailing at these prices, they would make great gifts for all sorts of occasions but just make sure to order ahead of time if it’s for a particular national holiday.

Check out the Virginia ABC’s products for online ordering here.

Why Norfolk’s NEON District Works—and What Richmond Can Learn

In 2013, a two-day event transformed a neglected stretch of Norfolk, Virginia, into a pop-up arts district. It wasn’t a city plan—it was a vision. Volunteers opened temporary galleries in boarded-up storefronts. Food trucks rolled in. Sidewalks were painted with...
