Watch Lots Of RVA-Famous Folks Dance To Pharrell’s “Happy” In New Viral Video

That new Pharrell single, “Happy,” sure is a lot of fun, right? So much fun, apparently, that all of RVA had to get into the act in this new video from local production company JI Live. Featuring everybody from Mayor Dwight C. Jones to legendary muralist Ed Trask, plus the NBC 12 news crew, the VCU Rams mascot, and a whole lot of other people you’ve seen around town, this video captures the upbeat spirit of RVA circa 2014. It’s kinda silly, we admit, but if you can get through this whole video without smiling even once, you just might be dead inside.

And by the way, it’s good to see Virginia’s own Pharrell Williams having this recent career renaissance, isn’t it? We’ve been fans for a really long time, and Pharrell graced our cover way back in RVA issue #2, released in Summer 2010. If you missed that interview the first time around, by all means go back and check it out HERE.
