He’s written several books of his own, including Folks, This Ain’t Normal, Everything I Want To Do Is Illegal, and The Sheer Ecstasy Of Being A Lunatic Farmer. Salatin’s anti-GMO, pro-locally grown organic farming work has led him to quite a bit of acclaim in liberal circles, but the Bob Jones University graduate’s outspoken advocacy for traditional gender roles, the role of farming in Christian ministry, and opposition to government regulation puts him outside the boundaries of typical liberal environmentalism, so his lecture, and the Q&A period that is to follow, promises some lively discussion that may go in directions you wouldn’t expect.
