What do you get when you put together a guy who seemingly loves the 90’s, footage from Menace II Society, and a beat that sounds like Black Moon? Segga Spiccoli’s “Lord Knows,” from his Life As I Know It mixtape.
What do you get when you put together a guy who seemingly loves the 90’s, footage from Menace II Society, and a beat that sounds like Black Moon? Segga Spiccoli’s “Lord Knows,” from his Life As I Know It mixtape. Though the first 30 seconds of this video (which is directed by Gabriel Bynum) are more of an advertisement for the mixtape, featuring a different song that is subpar in comparison to what it is you’re trying to see, once things get going the wait pays off (especially if you liked Menace II Society as much as I did). As much as the feel of this track brought Joey Bada$$ to mind, Segga did his thing, and the editing of the footage from Menace went along with the lyrics and really enhanced the song itself. All first 30 seconds aside, this is definitely not a waste of your or my time, so check it out!
