Science Team, the feature length indie horror film from some of the makers of The Taint, is looking for extras. The filmmakers are shooting right here in Richmond, and if you’re free this weekend, you could be part of the fun!

The violent quirky looking film is about a young man named Chip who returns home to find his mother murdered and a space alien living in her house. The Science Team, an organization that specializes in “maintaining interstellar peace and protecting America from the many alien threats that seek to destroy us,” is then tasked to kill the telepathic extraterrestrial now residing in Chip’s mother’s home.

From the description of the film on Facebook and the trailer linked above, it seems like it’s going to be a dark comedy filled with B-horror movie violence that’s going to include tons of disembowelment and plenty of gore. Promotional flyers artwork totally is reminiscent of Adult Swim show Superjail! If those posters and the trailer are any indication, this film will deliver on it’s promise of a bloody good time.

Here’s where you come in: if you’re looking to be a cool scientist in a pink safety suit playing with interesting looking alien-fighting technology, the call time is on Saturday and Sunday at 9 am, at 12324 Goddin Hill Road, Ashland, VA 23005. The producers request that anyone interested e-mail them at scienceteammovie@gmail.com to be scheduled into the film. Tell em RVA Mag sent you, and have fun fighting aliens!
