FBM’s Bustin’ Loose 3: Crazy Bike Tricks In RVA

by | Jun 27, 2013

FBM BMX sent us this video over twitter, and it’s nuts. This small independent bike company, who are based in New York but have several team members in Richmond, like to set up and do crazy stunts in the area (they were the guys who set up the stunt where a bunch of riders jumped over a giant cup of coffee in front of Lamplighter last year), and this one is the wildest yet.

No permits were involved, making the whole thing rather risky, and the details of exactly when and where it happened aren’t a matter of public record, but the video is, and it’s well worth a look. Featuring multiple camera angles, including one set up on the handlebars of Askew’s bike, you get the best view possible of the stunt, and it’s amazing. If something had gone wrong, we imagine Askew could really have injured himself badly, but fortunately, in spite of a less-than-perfect early attempt, everything turned out all right in the end, and passerby who just planned for an enjoyable weekend day at the park got a pretty incredible show.
