Michael Harl, Mark Hutcherson, Erin Housholder make up the new project MANZARA and the folks at Sound of Music studios caught them on camera earlier this year.

A brief convo with Harl yielded a bit of background on the shoot. The song is called “When Pants Attack,” and the video was put together by John Morand at Sound of Music.

“The meaning of the song itself changes upon every performance honestly,” said Harl of the 5+ minute track. “I think in that performance there was mention of the Super Bowl and so on.”

The noisy, grimy, but delightful track has been rocking us out at the office all day, but we’re pretty big suckers for delayed vocals and drone-y guitars.

Let us know what you think of the track in the comments below, and catch MANZARA (along with Ancient River(TX/London/FL), Lady God (RVA) and DJ REVOLT OF THE APES, when they play this Thursday, June 4, at Strange Matter.
