One of the best, most disgusting local movies ever made wants to release its soundtrack on vinyl but it needs your help

About 5 years ago, local filmmaker Drew Bolduc released one of the most disgusting, offensive and dick-filled movies ever seen and the soundtrack was just as amazing.

The movie told a twisted story of a post-apocalyptic world where one man’s attempt to grow the size of his member turned into a misogynistic nightmare. Women, often needlessly bare-breasted, were slaughtered in the streets. Men were turned into unstoppable sex-zombies. And one self-absorbed asshole was the only thing that could make it right.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you The Taint (video is NSFW):

Now before folks start freaking out about the obvious, the movie is satyr and it does an interesting job of examining the way men treat women, how society treats women, and why we are all so in love with our own dicks – it does this in a crude, childish way, but it is well produced and a lot of fun. It also features a number of local sights and folks that you probably still recognize from around town.

The movie was such a resounding success it helped propel Bolduc into the gory/horror indie movie spotlight where he found himself working for Lloyd Kaufman at Troama Studios on the film Return To Nuke ’em High Vol. 1. Troama went on to distribute The Taint internationally and Kaufman was even featured in a bit role in Bulduc’s follow up Science Team.

While The Taint was good/terrible in its own right, one of its most notable aspects was the soundtrack which was written and created by Bolduc and features additional work by Philip Heesen III, Robert King, Brian Beck, and Chris Bolduc. It is similarly wild and exciting – so much so I still find myself kicking tracks on from time to time.

Check out the Taint theme, “Got A Feeling,” below:

Now Bolduc is aiming to get the soundtrack released as a limited addition, lime-green vinyl. The tracks have been split between a poppier A side and a more downtempo B side – either way, it’s a great addition to any record collectors wall.

It’s a kickstarter, so theres a number of neat premiums people can get for helping to fund the project.

If you love terrible, disgusting cinema, head on over to the Bulduc’s kickstarter and donate now.
