This weekend, the Fountain Bookstore in Shockoe Slip hosted a noteworthy author signing. Greg Sestero, star of legendary box-office turkey The Room, was in town signing copies of his book The Disaster Artist: My Life Inside The Room–and he brought the film’s infamous writer/director/star Tommy Wiseau with him. Once called “the Citizen Kane of bad movies” by Entertainment Weekly’s Clark Collis, The Room has developed quite a reputation in the decade since its release. From the completely incoherent script and unfathomable directorial choices to the scenery-chewing of Wiseau’s acting and the film’s strange journey from box-office flop to cult classic, there are many fascinating elements in the story of The Room. The Collis article linked above has all the biographical details, and if you want to see the strangeness for yourself, here’s a five-minute compilation of the film’s best moments to give you a taste:

Photographer David Kenedy was on hand to greet Sestero and Wiseau when they arrived at The Fountain last Saturday, and he wasn’t alone. Dozens of fans showed up to meet and get autographs from the stars of The Room, and Kenedy captured the entire event on film, as you can see below:
