Boise Idaho indie forefathers Built to Spill are back with a new record and video, and its sure to satisfy the aging hipster in all of us.

Untethered Moon (our today, snag it here) is the first BTS album recorded with new band members Steve Gere (drums) and Jason Albertini (bass), who join vocalist/guitarist Doug Martsch. Untethered Moon is produced by Martsch and Sam Coomes (from the band Quasi).

To call BTS prolific is probably an understatement – many a night in my undergrad years were remembered for smoky-record-listening sessions with these guys on the play list.

They’ve been channeling that core indie sound since 1992 and have earned the chops to be remembered for it eternally.
