RVA noise and hip hop artist Chino Amobi has been making moves for sometime, but it’s always exciting to see a local hit the big stages around the country.

RVA noise and hip hop artist Chino Amobi has been making moves for sometime, but it’s always exciting to see a local hit the big stages around the country.

Sure enough, Amobi, who we recently profiled over his new fashion/art project NON, is making waves back in NYC with a recent gig spinning at the Museum of Modern Art in conjunction with NYC venue The Boiler Room.

Boiler Room and MoMa have united with the aim of uplift new and exciting artists. Amobi’s event was part of the MoMA PopRally 10th anniversary event. Similar MoMA and Boiler Room events have involved artists like Panda Bear, Jamie XX, and Disclosure. Now the event has a little bit of RVA sweat on its floor too thanks to Amobi.
