Last Wednesday RVA Magazine and Radio Rubber Room kicked off the first ever Open Stage Night at Cafe Diem (600 North Sheppard). It’s not your average open mic night, Open Stage Night offers the Richmond Music scene an opportunity to converge under one roof for a night of spirits, fun, good music and networking. It’s also a chance to get some face-time with RVA Magazine and the guys who started Radio Rubber Room. Last Wednesday we where joined by No Dice, The Dream Machine, Sound Storm, The Kindling Kind, Downbeat Switch, and more. They brought their instruments and most of them played stripped down acoustic sets but the level of talent was extraordinary. Every week we are expecting a large turn out and a sign up sheet full of some very talented musicians. We’ll also have a professional photographer booked every night as a “thank you” to all the great bands who contribute to this scene. Come out and get your picture taken!
