So my pre-teen self is freaking the fuck out right now. I literally gushed and screamed in the office like an obsessed fan girl when I read the news that my beloved Hanson was not only going on tour, but they are coming to Virginia.

The three brothers that exploded onto the pop scene in the late 1990s and made millions of girls cry and swoon over their hit, “MMMbop” among many others, will hit the road in June for their “25th Anniversary Middle Of Everywhere World Tour”.

“Making music together for 25 years is a milestone that we had to acknowledge, and what better way to do it than with an anniversary tour,” said keyboardist Taylor Hanson, in a press release on the band’s release about the tour.

Hanson will kick off the tour June 17 in Germany, come to the US in September, and make a stop in Norfolk at The NorVA Sat., Sept. 23. The band will wrap up the tour up in October in Texas.

According to the press release, later this year HANSON will also be releasing Middle Of Everywhere – The Greatest Hits, a comprehensive collection which includes hit singles “Mmmbop”, “Where’s The Love”, “Weird ”, “This Time Around”, “If Only”, “Penny And Me”, “Thinking ‘Bout Somethin’”, “Get The Girl Back”, and their new single, “I Was Born”.

Tickets for The NorVA show go on sale Saturday, March 18. You may get back to your freak out now.
