School’s back and so we’re kicking the year off with a hip-hop show featuring three acts you want to get to know in the Richmond area. Hailing from the DMV, Maryland to be specific, Chase Royale is fresh off of his second project “The Gemcutter’s Prism” and is headlining his first show at Strange Matter after being featured multiple times at Facemelt Friday. Also performing is Stafford, Va native and VCU’s own Mally Black, whose had multiple buzz-worthy singles and has made quite a name for himself in Richmond, Va while readying his next project. Finally, Richmond native Isaiah Jeremiah has multiple singles under his belt, a well-received EP and a debut project on the way. A new year means new music and an event sure to showcase upcoming talent in the area, come out and support!
