The popular video game Pokémon comes to life through Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions, a unique mix of live music and classic video games.
Whether Pokémon Go is your game or you prefer the original handheld system, this show is a fun experience for any Pokémon lover. However we do not advise trying to catch Pokémon during the show, as it may be distracting to other viewers when you stumble into the orchestra because you just had to catch ’em all.

The event is a visual presentation of the evolution of the Pokémon franchise, accompanied by a live symphony orchestra. Conductor Susie Seiter will lead the Richmond Symphony through precisely timed music, accompanied by cinematic visuals being displayed on large screens.
Turning the classic game into a live experience, the show includes clips and soundtracks from every installment. The three hour event starts with Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow and concludes with Pokémon X and Y.
The show is the brainchild of Susie Seiter’s husband, Chad Seiter, and Jeron Moore. Chad Seiter also produced The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses. Together Chad and Susie Seiter orchestrated nearly 80 minutes of new arrangements to accompany the original Pokémon music. All new additions were approved by the original Pokémon composer, Junichi Masuda.

The show first started touring in Aug. of 2014 and has traveled all over the world. Playing everywhere from Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh PA to the Sydney Opera House in Sydney Australia it has been popular with people of all ages and cultures.
Pokémon GO RVA is hosting a cookout at Bryan Park Sunday Sep. 24 to celebrate reaching 5,000 members. At the event, four tickets to Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions will be given away as prizes on a first come, first serve basis.
Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions is coming to Altria Theater Oct. 8.
