Science On Tap: Tribute To Grunge

by | Oct 9, 2021 | EVENTS

Come as you are, as you were, as I want you to be… Science on Tap is back for round two and this time we’ll explore Grunge’s connection to some seriously fun science! We’re planning a Black Hole Sun astronomy show, Pearl Jam oyster science, a Smells Like Teen Spirit sniffer challenge, a Soundgarden music lab, Smashing Pumpkin gourd launching and a Rock the Vote presentation sure to get you thinking.  NEW this time: live music! We’ll end the night with a performance from Pilots and Pearls at 9 p.m. Belle Isle Moonshine will be back offering signature cocktails and Growlers to Go will be on the back lawn with eight taps of beverage enjoyment. Come hungry because Go Go Vegan Go, Sammich and Happy Empanada are bringing good eats for your munching pleasure. Flannel shirts, ripped jeans and Doc Martens are encouraged! $10 admission ($8.50 for Museum members); food and drink is extra. Guests must be 21 or older to attend. A valid ID is required for entry, no exceptions. Buy your tickets here: https://www.smv.org/upcoming-events/science-on-tap-tribute-to-grunge. **For those who came in June, we promise we’ve worked out the will call process. It will be faster. Cross our hearts!** We’re also excited to welcome Westrock to the party as a Science on Tap sponsor.
