The Fifth installment of the Richmond Mural Project starts next week, July 11th through the 22nd, and there’s plenty of chances for you to check out live painting as well as meet the muralists before they sweat and paint under the RVA sun.

This year marks Art Whino, the folks who organize the international mural event, celebrating their short term goal of 100 Murals across our fair city. The goal was established to reach a “critical mass” of murals in which visitors to Richmond will take more than just a weekend trip, but (hopefully) several trips to catch the vast number of murals spanning walls from downtown to the VMFA.

With 86 murals since the inception of the project, the roster of artists who have participated are some of the highest regarded muralists in the world. This year Art Whino will return bringing another 10 muralists for another round of murals and as in every year will bring a diverse mix of artistic styles to show a cross section of what is forefront of the mural world.

Check out the full list of this year’s muralists here

As they entering the fifth year, The RMP will continue with the project in subsequent years with the new focus now being a collection of murals from muralist worldwide in one city.

This year’s RMP will span 10+ days with three parties to let folks meet the muralists and give our international visitor’s a chance to experience some RVA hospitality. Check out the full list of events below and a list of walls/painting locations below that:
