Hey folks, get pumped, cause Sweet Life Festival 2015 is just a few weeks away.

Hey folks, get pumped, cause Sweet Life Festival 2015 is just a few weeks away. It’s your chance to see Kendrick Lamar, The Pixies, Calvin Harris, Banks, Bleachers and a mess of other bands. (check the lineup in the flyer below).

It should be a great mix of national acts bringing you some of the freshest tunes on the East Coast, all with great brews and eats to saddle up with.

Merriweather Post Pavillion will play host once again to the festival, now in its 6th year.

Created by DC’s good/healthy food junkies SweetGreen, SweetLife has exploded since its inception and built a reputation for great food, greater beer and even greater-er music.

The folks at fuzzyheadphonez said 2013’s weekend party “managed to encompass many of the highs and very few of the lows of other young fests. Although it’s only a one day event, Sweetlife… was crammed with an excellent array of artists, local food and beer vendors, and an attention to organizational detail that made the experience easily navigable and comfortable.”

For the environmentally conscious, there are volunteers guarding trash cans and recycling bins, and deals have been worked out with local hotels to offer discounts.

For those more familiar with middle-of-nowhere music festivals (Bonnaroo, All Good, etc.) you might enjoy the more modern setting provided, with just as much music and good times to be had.

you can secure yourself tickets here, or you can head over to our Instagram and follow the steps for your chance to win a pair of tickets.

Review | ‘Come From Away’ is the Best We’ve Ever Been

Do you remember the rollerblading guy with the American flag kit on September 12th? We will never forget the 11th for the horrors, but do you remember the 12th? The 13th? If you do, I don’t even have to say which year. If you don’t, let me tell you a little bit about...

Before Richmond Was an Arts City, There Was Best Products

Imagine pulling into a suburban shopping center to buy a toaster and finding a department store that appeared to be falling apart with corners breaking away, walls peeling open like a giant cardboard box, or facades seemingly collapsing under their own weight. For...

Review | ‘I Love You Because’ Is Pure Joy 🏳️‍🌈

It could be said that Shakespeare invented the rom-com. It could also be said that Jane Austen improved it a couple of centuries later. Between the two of them, meet-cutes, notices of love or rejection arriving at exactly the wrong time, and breathless affirmations of...

Local, Latino and A New Richmond Cosmos

Tucked into the alley behind 2512 West Main Street, a fever dream of the cosmos has taken shape across a brick wall. The mural is the collaborative work of four Latino artists working in and around Richmond: Visibly Hidden, Monolith, Mars, and Sol. A distant Earth...
