Good Question! What To Do with The Azalea Mall Site?

by | Sep 26, 2024 | COMMUNITY, OUTDOORS

Earlier this week, Reddit user @ZookeepergameLast839 posed an interesting question on the /RVA subreddit:

“Azalea Mall may be a thing of the past, but the site still resembles a set from ‘The Walking Dead.’

Let’s brainstorm ideas for what this vast empty lot could become! I know this topic has been touched upon before, but let’s see what fresh ideas we can generate.

Personally, I envision a larger park and more green spaces. I dream of a well-maintained, centrally located dog park.

I’d also love to see an expansion of the Azalea Garden Center. You can never go wrong with a garden center!

What do you think? What would be ideal for that space? I’m excited to see what ideas we come up with!”

It’s a remarkable site, and we’d love to hear your thoughts on what could be developed there by jumping in on the conversation HERE.
