“We are Forever” – Wintry 5.0

In honor of RVA’s first snow day of the season, we now present our own John Reinhold’s fifth annual Wintry Mix. Here’s Reinhold’s introduction, and the track list:

“We are Forever” – Wintry 5.0

This wintry mix is dedicated to our friend Ian Graham, who passed last year, but lives on forever through all of us that he showed friendship and love. Wintry mixes for me have always been about the beautiful music that inspire me from various producers throughout the year. This one in particular is special because the songs have specific meaning to moments in time shared with Ian. It’s more of a full dedication to Ian, specifically put together by title (just look at track list) and overall feel. Plus some tracks have a unique flavor, with some 808’s and deep sounds that I know he would dig. It was not easy to get though this one – maybe overall it’s a mediation, maybe this is for healing, maybe it’s memories put to sound, or perhaps it’s my way of saying goodbye. ; )

*Use good speakers or headphones – Turn up volume, sit down and close your eyes.
