RVA TV & BARK Marketing were asked to help The Daily (#1 news app on iPad) and Rovio (creators of Angry Birds) launch their new space pig into space in celebration of their new game Angry Birds Space! They had seen the video of our sushi roll in space (video) that we created for Sticky Rice and jumped at the chance to do their own launch.

Jonathan Martin & Mark Hernandez designed a new craft that would allow to have an 180 degree view that wasn’t obstructed by too much mounting hardware. The launch site was chosen by constructing a trajectory of where they wanted it to land. Farm land outside Montpelier, VA was chosen for landing which put their launch site in Louisa, VA.

The video was just released today on Youtube and will be included into The Daily’s app for Angry Birds as well as into the new game. After receiving 120,000 hits for the sushi in space video, they are anxiously awaiting to see how well this promotion does.
