Probably some of the most exciting news is RVA Magazine’s collaboration beer with Ellwood Thompson’s and Legend Brewing! We had the chance to work with the organic grocery store and longtime brewery to brew up something special that we all can be proud of. Legend brough their Golden IPA, Ellwood’s provided the spices, which included fresh locally-sourced beets, ginger, and Buddha fingers and our president here John Reinhold helped throw it all together to create “Hoppy Buddha.”

This will be a kickoff beer series for Ellwood’s Beet Cafe with more collaborations to come in the future. And the best part of all this? RVA Magazine, Ellwood Thompson’s, and Legend Brewing will throw a release party this Friday, Feb. 26 at The Beet Cafe to celebrate the making of Hoppy Buddha and share the fruits of our labor with all of you.
