Best of RVA Missed Connections 10/24/17-10/31/17

by | Oct 31, 2017 | WTF?!

Happy Halloween folks! As always, the people over at Missed Connections never fail to provide us with the thrills and chills we seek, and this week we’ve got everything to make your spine tingle, or creep you completely. We’ve got someone looking for love at Super Suds, or a cop just looking to bust some Johns according to one poster, a Carmen Sandiego sighting at Fallout, more foot fetishes, and sparks fly at Mekong. Enjoy!

Saw you at the laundromat – w4m (Super Suds)

RE: Saw you at the laundromat – w4m

You didn’t see anyone at any laundromat. You’ve been posting this crap for years. You’re a cop, looking to bust Johns that reply to your prostitution intrapment post. What’s it like to be a cop that has to bust people on Craig’s list? I bet this isn’t what you had planed for yourself in police academy!? You must have really screwed up to get stuck with this job. You might as well be busting old ladies for jay walking. Lol

Orange Sweater at Mekong-Beautiful Smile – m4w (Mekong)

Hi, you have a beautiful smile, we kept making eye contact during lunch. You were with a group of women, having lunch. I was with a woman and kept looking over her shoulder at you. I saw your wedding ring, I married too. Any chance you would like to meet for a drink?

A Question for Title Girl – m4w (23832)

Elizabeth,

If you were to receive an envelope each morning at work with something I absolutely HAD to have back at the end of the day, and you knew I would do almost ANYTHING to get it back, would you find that entertaining?

Carmen Sandiego at Animal – w4w (Fallout)

You were the beautiful brunette in the Carmen Sandiego costume. We talked for a few minutes about lesbian rumspringa but I totally forgot to get your name. Reach out if you’re interested!

To the women with beautiful feet – m4w

You have no idea how much I dread winter, knowing when you come to my work, I won’t be able to see your nice feet. I’m a foot guy, and when you come into my business and I see those beautiful feet, it turns me on. Damn … cannot wait for summer again.

 It’s been a while – m4w (RVA)

It’s been almost 3 months since I last saw you, I figured I should have got over you, but I havent. I think of you almost the first thing in my day and you are usually the last thing on my mind before I sleep. I have tried to contact you several times, but I can only assume that you want nothing to do with me. 🙁 I miss you and dream of you often. The last time we talked was at your work.

The Light That Never Went Out

There is a spotlight still mounted in the rafters of 528 N. 2nd Street. It has been there since 1914. It has outlasted segregation, fire, the highway that cut Jackson Ward in two, and decades of silence. On the nights when the Hippodrome Theater fills up, that light...
