Welcome to The Championship Game of RVA BEER MADNESS 2017!

We have our RVA Beer Madness Champion for 2017!!

The Final Four was just as exciting and even closer than our past rounds have been. But here we find out who will be our final two teams to go into the final round. Lets break it down:

Championship Game:

Ardent Craft Ales vs Garden Grove Brewing Company

So here we have it – the final two teams face to face. Ardent Craft Ales has been unstoppable this whole tournament, and Garden Grove Brewing Company has built a steady fan base dedicated to seeing them through this tournament to the very end. Garden Grove has been working the social media, and putting a lot of effort into its run making them hot coming into this game. Ardent has such a quality product with a huge following that it was able to take down some really big teams which were expected to possibly win: The Veil Brewing Co., Hardywood Park, and Triple Crossing in the Final Four.

Garden Grove Brewing Company beat out a HUGE monster team in Final Gravity to make it to the big game, which was such a very close game. Both those teams had huge social media followings and followers that pushed them to the end. In some ways, Garden Grove is sort of a Cinderella story, in that they were a top ranked team – but from a Region that only has one brewery and started with lesser votes than other regions. But that soon changed as they ramped up voting, and got people involved. Ardent Craft Ales kept the game honest and had their usual big fan base that really supported them throughout the tournament. In the end, Garden Grove Brewing Company pulled out a nice win, they really got people involved and pushed hard online and at the brewery to get this win.

HUGE CONGRATS TO OUR WINNER GARDEN GROVE BREWING COMPANY!!!

And a thank you to all the amazing teams, and amazing brews in Richmond!! Once again, this is a testament to the growth of craft brew in Richmond.

See you next year, we have some special things to add next year to make this event bigger and with more judges!!!

And no, it’s not made from oranges.. The first time I encountered orange wine (or skin contact white wine), I was wowed by the color and it’s presentation. It’s gorgeous. This beautiful, amber-hued liquid danced around the edges of my swirling wine glass. I gave it a...
