Tapped: Triple Crossing Downtown turns 3, Legend’s 23rd Anniversary, & Hardwood’s Capital Trail Pale Ale

What’s happening craft beer lovers of RVA?! Welcome to this week’s “Tapped,” RVA Magazine’s go to weekly craft beer column where you can find all your craft beer-related events, releases, festivals and all the booze news your little hearts desire.

Our cup is overflowing with news this week, but first head over here to check out what awesome brews were released in Richmond last weekend.

So 2017 started off pretty crazy and it seems it’s just getting crazier by the day, but one thing you can count on is RVA Mag will always have the scoop on where you can go to get the finest craft beer in town! This week we have new beer releases, events, and other cool happenings around town, so hold on to your mugs because we’re getting ready to tap this thing!

Triple Crossing is celebrating their third anniversary of their Foushee Street location this Saturday, April 15. The brewery will be premiering a special anniversary edition of Clever Girl IPA double dry hopped with Citra and Mosaic (available in crowlers only)! They’ll also have guest taps from The Answer Brewpub, Ardent Craft Ales, Aslin Beer Co., Hardywood Park Craft Brewery and Ocelot Brewing Co. Party runs all day and will feature a Taco Bar menu from Billy Fallen.

Hardywood’s food truck court has returned and this Thursday they are back with a whole new lineup! Court runs from 5:30-9pm, check the link for the lineup of good eats!

This Saturday, Hardywood will release its Capital Trail Pale Ale to celebratethe completion of the trail with a new recipe!

This Saturday, Legend Brewing Company turns 23 and is celebrating with a huge party! There will be live music, a pig roast and of course, beer. Live music performances by Wade Reynolds, The Greater Richmond Bagpipes, Trey Hall Trio, Slack Family and Chamomile & Whiskey.

A $25 admission fee includes three tickets to be used on beer or buffet. Anyone under the age of 21+ or designated drivers can purchase admission tickets for $10 and anyone younger is FREE. Advance tickets will be available at the pub for $20.

Extra food and beverage tickets will be available for purchase on-site for $6 each.

On Monday, April 17, Castleburg Brewery will release Castilian’s Champagne, an authentic Polish Gratzer beer. Brewed with Oak Smoked Wheat Malt, this beer has a clear, light golden color that is high in carbonation, but low in alcohol.

The beer was nicknamed “Polish Champagne” because of its high carbonation levels, and because it was valued as a high-quality beverage to be used for special occasions

To celebrate Easter, Lickinghole Creek is hosting its Spring Farm Fest and will release the Nuclear Nugget Imperial IPA brew. EGG HUNT, PETTING ZOO, PONY RIDES, EGG ROLL, FREE SPIRNG FLOWER PICKING, MUSIC, FOOD TRUCKS, FACEPAINT.

Buskey Cider will release its Sugar Shack collab, the Earl Grey Tea and Lemon brew, tonight. Get their donuts specially made with Buskey’s Earl Grey Cider at this event served off their gluten free donut truck and pair this scrumptious dessert with a pint of Buskey.
