Our cup is overflowing with news this week, but first head over here to check out what awesome brews were released in Richmond last weekend.

We’ve got a new brewery, new beer releases a festival, and much more in this week’s Tapped, so hold on to your mugs because we’re about to tap this thing!

So the most exciting news is we’ve got a new brewery opening up this weekend! And of all places, Chesterfield, finally something in my part of town! Steam Bell Beer Works will open its doors early Saturday afternoon and Sunday for a grand opening weekend celebration with eight beers, food and live music. You can check out our story. photos from the brewery and a sneak peek at some of their brews here.

Garden Grove is holding a fundraiser for the Southside SPCA this Sunday, June 12th. Join them for Bark & Brew for great raffles, Southside merchandise and amazing beer! A percent of all sales will go right back to Southside SPCA!

Ardent Craft Ales will release a Honey Ginger Bourbon brew this Saturday.

On Thursday, The Answer Brewpub will release “Wheat in the Knees”, a 6.2% Wheat IPA brewed with Galaxy, Citra and Mosaic hops. Crowler & Growler fills available.

Get ready for beer, bourbon, BBQ and lots of it at this weekend’s annual Beer, Bourbon, & BBQ Festival at the Richmond Raceway Complex. All guests receive a souvenir glass for tastings. Unlimited Beer and Bourbon Tastings as you stroll from table to table and tent to tent. There are 40 Bourbons and 60 Beers on tap. Pulled pork from whole hogs, ribs, brisket, chickens, sausages and any fixins’ will be available. Live Rock & Blues Music on the main stage. the festival kicks at noon and runs until 6 pm on Saturday. VIP tickets are $49 and Regular tix are $39.

Triple Crossing will release its Black Dolphin Russian Imperial Stout this Saturday. The stout was brewed with roasted barley and dark brown sugar.

Ruby Red Slippers will make its return back to Isley Brewing this Friday. The Grapefruit Session Pale Ale features fresh grapefruit added to New Zealand grown Motueka and Pacific Jade hops and use of toasty English malts, offers a rich malt flavor with a citrusy finish.

On Sunday, the brewery will also have root beer floats! You can recoup from your weekend with a Root Beer Float made with Isley’s Drunken Uncle Hard Root Beer with a taco in hand from Intergalactic Tacos.
