Hoax Release at Hardywood

BIG announcement, friends!

Let’s get started with the good news: Introducing Hardywood Hoax!

Hardywood Hoax is our base imperial milk stout, Cassowary, aged one year in traditional brandy barrels. Hoax is another behemoth of a beer joining its fellow crafty misfits, Trickery, Foolery & Ruse, yet remaining unbelievably smooth. Expect a super chewy milk stout with bold oak tannins and notes of grape jam, ripe plums and dried dates. Quantities and bottle limits are TBD. Mark your calendars for October 28 and stay tuned for updates!

October 28th, live music starts at 6PM with a very special Spooky Cool Music Video Premiere with Good Day RVA

But wait, is this a trick? Where’s Trickery?

Unfortunately, there will be no Trickery in 2017. There isn’t a whole lot of apple brandy produced here in the states, making it difficult to source apple brandy barrels. When the time came to get Trickery into barrels, there were no apple brandy barrels to be found. We couldn’t dream of depriving your tastebuds of this anticipated Fall release entirely, so we brought in as many brandy barrels as we could find (a grand total of 4 brandy barrels!) and we’re excited to continue our playful approach to this series.

But wait, there’s MORE GOOD NEWS!

Ultimately, we were able to get our hands on a limited number of apple brandy barrels in time to put them right to work. We are thrilled to re-introduce Apple Brandy GBS to our lineup of seasonal GBS variants this year! Details here: Hardywood Apple Brandy GBS!
