Get ready for the murder, mayhem and debauchery…oh yeah and music, because the gatekeepers of Hell, aka GWAR have announced their initial lineup for their annual metal fest “GWAR B-Q” at Hadad’s Lake on August 20th.

For the first time, RVA’s own Lamb of God will play the festival. The lineup also includes political punks Against Me!, Boston punk rock group American Nightmare, sludge metal group EYEHATEGOD, and California’s pop punk groove band Lagwagon.

We are definitely excited about this initial lineup for sure over here at RVA Mag! Stay tuned for the next round of band announcements.

In the meantime to hold you over, check out the awesome commercial GWAR made for this year’s festival:

Opinion | Richmond, We Don’t Need Another Love Song

Music has always been a mirror. It tells us who we are, what we value, and, sometimes, what we’re too afraid to face. But if music is supposed to reflect the world around us, then what does it say that so much of today’s mainstream music says… nothing at all? Richmond...
