Halloween will soon be upon us with spooky costumes, delicious candy and little punks smashing pumpkins all over the town.

Halloween will soon be upon us with spooky costumes, delicious candy and little punks smashing pumpkins all over the town. But whatever, it’s one of the greatest days of the year and eveyone should celebrate. Now what better way to celebrate than with some Halloween songs written and recorded by our own local artists?

That’s right, hold on to jack-o-lanterns because Bad Grrl Records just released the much-anticipated sequel to Nightmare on Grace Street and it features death, ghosts, vampires and evey other strange and scary thing your disturbed mind desires. Some artists created Halloween-themed songs, while others merely referenced Halloween in one way or another.

Volume II contains 13 tracks of all genres, including hip hop, indie rock, and instrumental. Mark Golden of The Green Hearts and Red Hot Lava Men, Allison Apperson of Hot Lava and Kelly Queener of Peace Beast selected the bands for the sequel.

Artists featured on this spooky soundtrack include NO BS, Nowy Owls, Claire Morgan, Lady God, Toxic God Beast, Lightfields, Manzara, Black Liquid, The Slaxitones, Kage Goulding, Nervous Ticks, Peace Beast and Miss Bliss.

Not to pick favorites, but No BS Brass Band’s track is on point!

Like last year, the songs will be released on cassette. Check out last year’s cassette below.

For those not looking to travel back in time, Nightmare on Grace Street Volume 2 is also available for streaming and download here as well as Spotify and iTunes.

Last year, there was a release show in November where all the bands performed so stay tuned for details on that!
